Our Story
“Our story” is really two stories, which then merged into one…
Dave got his first electric drill set from his handyman father when he was 9 years old. Tricia began cleaning houses at the age of 10 on babysitting jobs! The word spread for both of them which developed years of skills, experiences and service-oriented work ethics.
In 2012 Dave answered a cry for help from his mother, whose finances were dwindling. Dave then put on his Home Preparation Specialist hat to help her scale down and move into a more economical home.
He found a realtor, made a list of repairs & design improvements and formed the crew necessary to transform her home into the model home that attracted a buyer in 2 days! Dave discovered his skills, life experience and ability to hold the overview which enkindled his passion to help more people to achieve their dream.

Tricia's Story
I recall the first time I cleaned a house – I was 10 years old. My mother was hospitalized with pneumonia and I felt anxious about her absence and of her recovery. She was a professional singer and sang while she cleaned.
With the intention to capture her spirit, I imitated her; as I dusted furniture and vacuumed the floors, I whistled the Disney tunes. Afterwards, I felt pleased with having achieved a task that was not expected of me. When I heard my dad boast about my cleaning the house to mom, I beamed with giggles! That acknowledgment was a worthy reward for a job well done!
My first professional cleaning experience was cleaning 25 rooms a day as a motel maid wth a partner in beach side motels. It was here I began to value working as a team member.
20 years later in Nevada City I operate a cleaning business called True Touch Cleaning where my team works for Airbnb’s, business offices and home preparation for market. It’s all about paying attention to details; hence, my motto: ‘Where the Details Matter!’ I still get a charge from making a place shine!
Dave and Tricia joined forces in 2014 when they launched Happy Healthy Homes. Over the years Happy Healthy Homes has developed into much more than a handyman service.
Our latest success story involved Dave and Tricia transforming a home and accentuating its beauty with the ingenuity of multiple talents and skills. Dave formed a crew of painters, carpenters, electricians, landscapers, deep cleaners, and stagers to prepare the home for the model look.

We were all thrilled by the transformation; even his realtor was amazed and pleased about the progress that was completed from the beginning of the project to listing in only 10 days! Our mission is to create the model home for a buyer to imagine themselves living in!
Our Philosophy
Dave and Tricia believe that it ‘takes a village to raise a child’ and value exposure to people who seek the highest ways to serve another. This calls for carefully listening to the needs and desires of the client you’re serving and to work with them as if you were a good friend.
It takes focus to ascertain another’s needs, focus to fulfill them and focus to gather any and all resources to direct the project towards a satisfying completion. It takes impeccability, the kind that includes subtle details, the kind that is thorough and the kind that involves follow through. Foremost, it takes honesty with our client to communicate openly the limitations and the possibilities and deliver practical steps to reach their goals.
Dave and Tricia’s years of experiences have developed a sensitivity to hear and feel other’s challenges. They work together with their clients to offer grounding, support, and ‘flow with changes.’ Since they value the team-players concept, they support other’s process and promote their progress step by step.
